Hackintosh!
I bought a MacBook last week ( 2nd hand on eBay – about 12 months old). Its my first taste of OS X – I’ve always wanted to try it and see what I thought about the dock and menu bar at the top of the screen. I thought it would get on my nerves as it’s so different to Windows, but I’ve got to say it’s so easy to use. I’d even go as far as to say it’s a pleasure to use! So much so, I decided to try and get OS X on my desktop PC as a dual-boot with Windows 7. At the moment I’ve taken the W7 drive out of my PC to make sure I don’t inadvertently blash it but so far so good. I’m using the iPC 10.5.6 OSx86 installer – I’ve got it installed and running. Just need to get my X-fi soundcard working (my firewire soundcard is working) and sleep working. Once that’s done, it’s 100% working! Software updates even work. Result! Once I have it all fully operational I’ll post my PC specs and what options I installed with Leopard so that anyone else with my mobo will have to spend a bit less time searching Google for advice! See below for a photo of my Hackintosh!

Heh, I see you’re making a renewed effort on the techno-blogging… I was interested to read your reaction to OS X. “A pleasure to use” pretty much sums it up for me. Now imagine moving the other way… like I have to do every day at work!
P.S. Try holding shift when minimising a window.
If only the X-fi card worked, I’d be really happy! Not too fussed about my bluetooth adaptor working, spending a hold day messing with the Kext files wasn’t particularly fun, especially with no reward! Oh and I wish that prolonged use of Garageband didn’t screw up the sound! But I can always use the Macbook for that!
I got hold of a skin for Chameleon that replicates Boot Camp – looks pretty cool too! (Gets rid of that pesky Lizard on my boot menu!)
